ARMY ROTC

This program instructs cadets to:
  1. Appreciate the ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship.
  2. Develop leadership potential, while living and working cooperatively with others.
  3. Be able to think logically and to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Appreciate the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health.
  5. Understand the importance of high school graduation for a successful future, and learn about college and other advanced educations and employment opportunities.
  6. Develop mental management abilities.
  7. Become familiar with military history as it relates to America’s culture and understand the history, purpose, and structure of the military services.
  8. Develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team.

Colonel Chris Selvey, JROTC Army Instructor

     Col. Selvey brings us the experience of a distinguished, 28-year career in the United States Army. A veteran of numerous deployments world-wide, including a long list of accolades, medals, and awards. He’s a proven individual, who successfully has transitioned from the military service profession to the role of teacher, coach, mentor and role model.

Uniform and Appearance

Students must meet the US Army appearance and hair standards. Students are required to wear the uniform weekly.
